Making The Right Choice When Leasing A New Car

Category: UncategorizedAdmin @ 7:40 am

Making the right choice with your hire car can be an extremely important decision, give you’re most likely stuck with it for around three years. Will will often ask car leasing clients what informed their choice of vehicle and they often come back with vague or non specific answers. Just as surprising were clients’ general responses to their chosen cars; a high percentage of them insisting they didn’t actually like the car they were driving.

Sometimes it is that they have chosen a particular car, making the assumption that it is the best car they can get within their price range. However it could be well worth asking the leasing company if they have a better car for a similar price; most clients consider cars with expensive price tags to buy will be similarly expensive to rent. Somewhat surprisingly however, this isn’t always the way it works. An expensive car that holds its value well over time may not be particularly expensive to lease. It’s also a good bet to ask the company if they have any reduced offers or car leasing deals.
So you may consider an Aston Martin or Audi contract hire is too expensive an option, whereas actually it might fall well within your price range.

Another factor you may want to take into account is the vehicle’s safety especially if you have a family. If you visit the Euro NCAP (www.euroncap.com) website you’ll most likely find your chosen car on their site, with rating for safety features..

Something which is often overlooked by people when hiring a new car is the colour they choose, which can be particularly important when relating to safety. Yellow is a very safe colour, although it has never made a real comeback since its popularity during the 1970’s.White is also easily seen, although perhaps it wouldn’t be that safe in a snowstorm, or come to that matter in fog. Red is thought to be safe by many motorists, although that has been disputed in some studies. Interestingly red has been found to be the colour of car most likely to be caught speeding. In a similar way to bright coloured cars being considered safer, dark colours are considered to be far less safe, with black cars being involved in considerably more accidents that any other colour.
