Music is really a very powerful and fantastic thing, it can make you happy and in turn can make you sad too. There are songs and types of music out there that are there for sad times and in turn ones there for good times too?

Children very rarely get the chance to actually get involved with music at school, sometimes they get to learn the recorder or something like that but is this really enough, they do not seem to get the broad sense of instruments which is a great shame, a lot of children will not have heard of some instruments until they get older and this is wrong. So what are really the ways in which schools can help kids get interested in music and playing it.

There do actually seem to be a lot of people out there that feel that if a band is created in mid to late teens that they are actually going to be a waste of time and a bit stupid, is this true?. I for one am not in a band and cannot play an instrument to save a life unless of course you are looking for London’s Burning on the recorder in which case I am your man. I was sat down the other day thinking back to my school life (only a few years ago) and I remembered that music class was always a bit of a shambles. I actually remember using tambourines in my music classes as a kid and really as far as I remember that was pretty much it.
